| ASSP Colonial Virginia Mixer @ CarMax Park June 26th | 5:30 pm – ? Barbecue at 6:00 and game at 7:05. Join us Friday June 26th at 5:30 (or when you can get there) as the Richmond Flying Squirrels take on the Akron Rubber Ducks. We encourage everyone to bring family and friends as we celebrate the end of our 2025-2026 Chapter Year. We will gather outside center field entrance as that is where you enter the brand new CarMax Park. We’ll be there in reflective vests to distribute tickets. If you arrive after 6:00, we’ll have your tickets at Will Call. You can enter park in at 5:30 and go left to The Woodfin Yard overlooking right field. Patient First gives a quick talk around 5:45 and at 6:00, barbecue starts with hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.. and goes till 7:30. Game starts at 7:05. You park at the Diamond (10 dollars to park). Fun Fact: Akron is Double Affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians which has a long history with multiple Hall Of Famers including Tris Speaker, Bob Feller and Larry Doby. | Monday May 18th at Noon at TRC from 12-1 Important Talk on the VCU Burn UnitPlease join us on Monday, May 18th at Noon at TRC Headquarters (formerly Draper Aden) for a great talk from retired Fire Chief Jerry Pruden who is the Director of the Old Dominion Firefighters Burn Foundation. Jerry’s presentation will provide a detailed look at how the Old Dominion Firefighters Foundation collaborates with the Evans-Haynes Burn Center at VCU to meet it’s mission of providing the “Best care possible for Firefighters in the event they suffer a burn injury and end up in the Evans-Haynes Burn Center”. Jerry will also talk about a project utilizing science to decrease the potential of firefighter burn injuries across the country. The Foundation provides educational opportunities for local First Responders, Burn Care Team Members of VCU and Fire Prevention Education and support to the Richmond Metro area.
