We invite you to join us Monday January 26th at the Mekong Restaurant on W. Broad St. for 2 very special and timely presentations. Jumoke Akinrimisi from VDEM and John Miller from the State Department of Forestry will talk about Planning, Response and Emergency Preparedness for the Upcoming Fire Season.
Jumoke is the Access and Engagement Specialist at VDEM and has served during emergency activations including Hurricane Helene.
Among her tasks are developing strategies to assist the disabled during disasters. She presented recently at the ASSP tour of VDEM.
John Miller has 25 years of experience as the Dept. of Forestry Chief of Fire and Emergency Response. He is credentialled as a Complex Incident Commander and has been deployed 33 times to 14 states to help manage wildfires, flood events and hurricanes.
The talks begin at 4:00 pm with appetizers followed by dinner.
